Answer. Metropolitan Private School League

Question. What schools make up the MPSL?
Answer The Barstow School, Bishop Seabury Academy, Heritage Christian Academy, Hyman Brand Hebrew Academy, Kansas City Christian School, Maranatha Academy, Oakhill Day School, Open Door Christian School, The Pembroke Hill School, St. Paul’s Day School, Summit Christian Academy

Question. What sports does the league offer?
Answer. 7th/8th Boys and Girl's Soccer, 5th-8th Girl's Volleyball, 5th-8th Boys and Girl's Basketball.

Question. How many games are there in a season?
Answer. Soccer: 6 games and a post-season tournament. Volleyball: 10-12 matches plus tournament. Basketball: 8 games plus tournament.

Question. When do we play the games?
Answer. Most weeknights and Saturdays.

Question.What time are the games on Saturday?
Answer. The first game starts at 9:00 am and the last game might start at 8:30 pm.

Question. What about games on Friday nights?
Answer. They're extremely rare. That's high school night.

Question. When is our first basketball game?
Answer. Games begin right away after Thanksgiving. Most teams will have two or three games before Christmas and then the season resumes after New Year's.

Question. When does the basketball tournament start?
Answer. It begins right after President's Day and continues until about March 1.

Question.What rules are followed and who officiates these games?
Answer. State-registered adult officials work the games. National High School Federation Rules are used.

Question.Aren't there some special league rules for basketball?
Answer. Yes, depending on the grade level, there are no-press rules. shorter free throw lines and a 28.5 cm ball is used by all girl's divisions and also the 5th and 6th grade boy's divisions. See the special basketball rules link on the homepage for details.

Question. What are the different divisions in basketball?
Answer. There is a 5th grade team division and a 6th grade team division. If a school has more than one team in a division they are divided into two even teams. The 7th and 8th grades are combined into three divisions: A, B and C.
